Samonas Traditional Villas – Orange villa – Diktamos
On the structure
All our Villas are two-story (maisonettes) with unlimited view to the mountains, valley and the sea. They are exclusively built in stone and wood to match their surroundings. Each apartment is built at a different level due to the ground’s steep slope with some common areas (pool, barbecue, gym, café), as well as private courtyards, verandas, or balconies and quiet corners. Some homes have even access to the roof terrace (roof garden).
All homes have big wooden main entrances with traditional rustic locks and big iron keys. They are decorated with many small folklore objects and antiques. All incorporate the same comforts and luxury, although they differ in size and layout.
A private house with big courtyards, gardens and nice view is also bookable at Stylos – Provarma, just 4km before Samonas.
Orange villa – Diktamos
One double bedroom maisonette of 65 m2 with the possibility to easily accommodate up to 4 persons. The bedroom is located on the ground floor and its two walls is natural rock under the soil. It incorporates one independent courtyard and has access to the roof with a magnificent panoramic view to the entire area and the pool. This dwelling was built in 1913 and the ground floor in the past was used as a barn-stable, while the first floor as a weave room and elementary school.
*Diktamos
Dittany Small plant, quite aromatic with small piliferous leaves and violet flowers. It reaches 30-40 cm and thrives in mountainous and rocky areas. We mainly use the flowering tops and less the leaves. It has an antibacterial, antiseptic, sanative attribute and helps in the prevention of circulation and heart problems. It soothes headaches, neuralgias, stomach disorders and cutaneous inflammations.
