“Singing in the sunshine, laughing in the rain
Singing to an ocean, I can hear the ocean’s roar
Singing about the good things and the sun that lights the day
Sitting round singing songs ‘til the night turns into day”
In the far, northeast corner of the Massachusetts is the small, ocean town of Salisbury Beach ( Inc. 1640 ) AKA Colchester ( Est. 1638 ). Wake up every morning to the sound of seagulls singing in harmony with the waves crashing outside your open concept living area or our 3 bedrooms. Open your eyes & appreciate the stunning beauty and unobstructed, panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, reaching as far as you can possibly see. Once awake, retreat up a few stairs to your sunny, open floor plan to sip your morning beverage & welcome the marvelous ocean views with every glance and turn.
Welcome to the Ultimate Beach Home! One of a tiny handful of homes on the ENTIRE span of Hampton/Salisbury/Seabrook Beach, that ACTUALLY looks like a beach house; right out of a movie, TV show ( which it has ) or magazine. Many say this is one of the most beautiful beaches in Massachusetts/New England and you’ll see why. Others feel the same way-
May 02, 2018, BOSTON GLOBE MAGAZINE, voted Salisbury Beach the 2nd best beach in New England! They sited great for families, soft beach, surfing, wheel chair access, kayaking, fishing, and swimming. And for consistency, on June 23, 2017, addition of BOSTON GLOBE MAGAZINE, voted Salisbury Beach, the #4 best beach in Massachusetts. #2 in New England sounds much better & we’ll take both.
The home offers incredible and unique sweeping views. Light, bright, airy, elegant, clean, quiet, and DIRECT oceanfront! Coastal livings finest………… Great natural-light throughout the two-level, spacious home, all-year-round. 750+ square foot balcony/deck! This home sticks out further than any other on the entire beach with zero obstruction & you can see for miles in all directions; from Cape Ann to the seacoast of New Hampshire and Maine to the Isle of Shoals and more. ….even three Windmills off-in-the-distance, in Gloucester, MA, on Cape Ann…..
Situated on the very desirable north end of Salisbury Beach, we are mere minutes from 95, 495, and route 1. This home is outdoor living at its finest with an inside decor and amenities to match. Amazing sunrises over-the-Atlantic @ sunsets over-the-Blackwater River Great Marsh.
The Moon sparkling on-the-Atlantic….. The nighttime is better than the daylight. The moon, visible all evening with zero obstruction never gets boring. Wait until you get to see it rise over-the-horizon and it has an orange glow.
Have you ever looked at the ocean, to the east, while the sun sets in-the-west? The water, sky-line, & sand turn lavender! Imagine relaxing on the deck with beautiful pink sunrises every morning or maybe a color, so unique, you’ve never seen it before….
Sept 2017 and 2018-
Humpback Whales, Seals, and Pogies pay a visit to Salisbury Beach and seemed to stay directly in front of our home for the entire month & within 100 yds off shore. It was quite a sight! Please see our photo gallery. Best surfing spot too!

More about historic Salisbury Beach-
With a slower pace of life and a friendly populace that can trace its lineage back to the first English settlers, it’s no wonder people head to this Essex County hamlet every summer & all-year, to get away from the daily grind. Our Salisbury vacation rental provides the perfect retreat from the every day. Walk to restaurants, pizza shops, the best soft serve ice cream ( black raspberry & coffee- yum! ), a large, local farm stand, fireworks store, & the Mass/NH state line.
With five miles of pristine beach & homes dating back to the town’s formation, Salisbury, Massachusetts, enjoys a reputation as a quaint summer colony with historic flavor.
Salisbury is all about nature and the coastal waters. It’s a big reason this town is one of the most popular on the North Shore and in Massachusetts. The Salisbury Beach State Reservation is a nearly five-mile ocean side park ( plus 2 miles of Seabrook Beach ) offering many places to swim, fish, walk and collect sea shells, etc. In the off-season, you can horseback ride!
Kids of all ages will enjoy the plethora of mini golf sites, in-town go-cart tracks, arcades, and adults will enjoy touring area farms for produce and flower bulbs, and scenic drives up or down the coast on scenic route 1A. All year-round concerts are held at Blue Ocean Music Hall at the pavilion on historic Salisbury Beach. Most, if not all seats are within 50 feet of the stage, offering a bird’s eye view of the performers; both famous and local. Summer concerts are held at Salisbury Beach center & weekly fireworks can be seen from our deck!
With its convenient North Shore location, Salisbury is a great spot from which one can organize day trips around the region. Boston is only 40 miles to the south, with spooky Salem even closer. The small coastal towns of Newbury and Newburyport lie just adjacent to Salisbury & have some cultural as well as natural sites. 10-11 minutes from downtown Newburyport – fast becoming the #1 Summertime Tourist destination in Massachusetts.
Newburyport, known as the “Land-side Nantucket” (only better!) Easily accessible to Boston & Logan Airport only 40 minutes away by car, or 1 hour by train. Newburyport has an extensive offering of Restaurants, Shops, Boutiques, Art Galleries, Theater, Museums, and countless Historical attractions to enjoy! There’s fun for everyone to enjoy!

Or visit some of the other countless attractions Boston has to offer – The New England Aquarium, Children’s Museum, Museum of Science, and the Museum of Fine Arts – to name just a few!
Plum Island lies just off the coast, offering natural wonders as far as the eye can see and some of the best bird-watching in-the-country. For the avid fisherman, Newburyport Harbor, Joppa Flats, and the mouth of the Merrimack River are known for the most productive Striped Bass fishing in New England and the entire East coast! Or, drop a line in the Atlantic, right in front of our home……… We’ve been told that the best fishing spot, is at the buoy, about 400 yds, directly in front of our home. You’ll see the boats every morning.
With close to 60 colleges/universities in-the-area, plus several ( 11 ) boarding schools, this house is a great home-base for visiting schools while living and relaxing at-the-beach.
